My Jesus Pochetbook of Nursery Rhymes

Victoria has this little book and we love it. I forgot all about the book and until we came across it the other day and started reading it together. So I thought I would write them out and share them with all of you. It's a great way to look at Nursery Rhymes.

Something new to teach your kids...
Enjoy and have fun reading these to your little ones.

My Jesus Pocketbook of Nursery Rhymes by Cynthia Harvey Fletcher

Mary had a little Lamb,
His name I'm sure you know;
And everywhere that
Jesus went
His love was sure to flow.

Jack, beloving,
Jack, be kind:
Let your love for
Jesus shine.

Humpty Dumpty
sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty
had a great fall.
Don't be like Humpty
who fell and cracked-up
Let Jesus be your King
as you grow up.

Hickory, dickory, doek,
The mouse ran up the clock;
The time has come
To trust God's Son,
Hickory, dickory, dock.

Rub-a-dub-dub
Two kins in a tub,
It's Sunday morning,
Scrub, scrub, scrub.
Go to God's House,
Sing and pray,
And learn to seek
Jesus every day.

Little Miss Muffet
sat on a tuffet,
Eating her curds and whey.
She's afraid of a spider;
She needs Jesus inside her
To take all fear away.

Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch some Living Water,
Drank it down and saw
they'd found
Joy and Life ever after!

Wee Willie Winkie
runs through the town.
Upstairs and downstairs
in his nightgown;
Peeping in the window:
What does he see?
The children don't have
time for Jesus;
They're watching to much TV.

Pat-a-cake, Pat-a-cake,
baker's man,
Bake me a cake as fast
as you can;
Pat it and prick it,
and mark it with a J,
Let's celebrate Christmas
Which is Jesus' birthday!

Little Jack Horner
Sat in a corner,
But he won't share his pie.
If Jesus were there,
Jack would learn to share.
Why not give Him a try?

Little Bo-Peep
Has lost her sheep,
And so has Christ
The Good Shepher.
They wander away,
And hate to obey;
But Jesus seeks and
finds them.

Ole Ling Cole was a
merry ole soul,
And a merry ole soulwas he;
He sang at nine,
He sang at noon,
And he praised
the Lord did he.

Twinkle, twinkle,
little star,
How I wonder
what you are!
God has set you
up so high;
He has reached
below the sky.
He made you,
He made me too;
I'm His diamond,
Just like you.

Took Son To ER...

Tuesday I had to take my oldest son to the ER. He hasn't been feeling good but this day took it's toll. He had really bad stomach pains, felling weak, light headed and a few other things. The doctors took blood, stomach x-ray. They said he was dehydrated so they gave him fluids 2 bags. They also said he was a little enemic. I thank God that there was no need for a blood transfusion. They uped his meds and added prednisone. We were glad he didn't have to be hospitalized.

We have a appt. with a specialist (a gastroaligist) on the 6th.

Please keep my son in your prayers. Thanks.

Daughter Got Braces

Today we went and got Victoria's braces put on. She's not doing well. She's really having some sort of break down. Please pray that this will pass. I hope in a few days she will feel better about them. She's already asking when she can take them off.

She did really well at the dentist. She said it didn't hurt at all. Which I was happy to hear. I just hate to see my kids in pain. She picked hearts and pink bands. The really are cute.

17th Annv. April 6th, 2008

Yes it's been 17 years. I still can't believe it's been that long. We are high school sweet hearts. Sometime's you wonder how you could stay married for so long. But I believe that we are meant for the long hall. With God's help I just know that we'll stay married for ever.
My husband really does mean the world to me. Even if I do complain from time to time.

We got to get away Friday. We found a place over looking the rouge river to stay for a night. We went out to dinner, Mexican food my favorite. Then went to a movie, 10,000 BC. I really didn't want to see this movie but glad I did. I thought it was good.

We had a really good time out together. We haven't done anything in awhile. It was nice to spend sometime together with out the kids. Now that Nik is 17 we had him watch the kids for the night. They hung out at home and watched movies all night. Victoria says they had a fun night. Nik says Tyler was going crazy all over the house and having tons of fun jumping here and everywhere...

God's blessing to all that have stopped by to read my thoughts.
Love ya, Terri

Pride Is A Cheater

MY NAME IS PRIDE. I AM A CHEATER.
I CHEAT YOU OF YOUR GOD-GIVEN
DESTINY....BECAUSE
YOU DEMAND YOUR OWN WAY.
I CHEAT YOU OF CONTENTMENT....BECAUSE YOU
"DESERVE BETTER THAN THIS."
I CHEAT YOU OF KNOWLEDGE...BECAUSE YOU
ALREADY KNOW IT ALL.
I CHEAT YOU OF HEALING...BECAUSE YOU'RE TOO
FULL OF ME TO FORGIVE.
I CHEAT YOU OF HOLINESS....BECAUSE YOU REFUSE
TO ADMIT WHEN YOU'RE WRONG.
I CHEAT YOU OF VISION....BECAUSE
YOU'D RATHER LOOK IN THE MIRROR THAN OUT A
WINDOW.
I CHEAT YOU OF GENUINE FRIENDSHIP....BECAUSE
NOBODY'S GOING TO KNOW THE REAL YOU.
I CHEAT YOU OF LOVE...BECAUSE REAL ROMANCE
DEMANDS SACRIFICE.
I CHEAT YOU OF GREATNESS IN HEAVEN...BECAUSE
YOU REFUSE TO WASH ANOTHER'S FEET ON EARTH.
I CHEAT YOU OF GOD'S GLORY...BECAUSE I CONVINCE
YOU TO SEEK YOUR OWN.
MY NAME IS PRIDE. I AM A CHEATER.
YOU LIKE ME BECAUSE YOU THINK I'M ALWAYS
LOOKING OUT FOR YOU. UNTURE.
I'M LOOKING TO MAKE A FOOL OF YOU.
GOD HAS SO MUCH FOR YOU, I ADMIT, BUT DON'T
WORRY...
IF YOU STICK WITH ME
YOU'LL NEVER KNOW.

My Daughters 9th Birthday

Yes, it was my babies b-day March 27th. I just can't believe she turned 9. After she went to bed I decorated the house with birthday banners and all sorts of things. She woke up with a big smile on her face. What a great feeling to make your kids feel special.

We went to get two of her friends and we all went to the movies to see Horton. We loved it. She also had a sleep over with them. They had a dance off with Disney's DDR. I had a great time watching them have fun. They even asked me to join in. Which I was glad to do. It really get's addicting. Hey might of even lose a pound or 2.

Women's Fellowship

Hey ladies,

This week's get together was great. I think everyone had a great time.
I just wanted to share with you our study.

A RECIPE FOR FRIENDSHIP

By : Julia Bettencourt

Friendships are wonderful gifts to our lives straight from God.

Our friendships with our sisters in Christ are like recipes of goodness for us. They bake up something special. You may have heard that saying, "In the cookies of life, friends are the chocolate chips." Friends are that sweet extra in life and even sweeter is friendship among believers in Christ.

Why is a recipe for fellowship and friendship with our sisters in Christ is so important? Let's check out the ingredients and see what they do.

Sisters In Christ Friendship Recipe

*Shortening - Provides texture. Our fellowship and friendship with our sisters in the Lord can add much depth and texture to our lives. We blend together in unity as part of the body of Christ.

*Sugar - Adds sweetness. Our fellowship with our sisters adds such a sweet taste to our lives. If we didn't have sugar in our cookies, we'd sure miss it. The same is with our fellowship with our sisters. We can't leave it out of our lives.

*Eggs - Holds ingredients together. Sisters in the Lord are someone to lean on. We are held together by fellowship with them. We are stronger because of them, their prayers, and their love in the Lord. We have a special bond in Christ.

*Vanilla - Adds flavor. Sisters add that flavor we need. They give us that extra sensation. Without friends and fellowship we become kind of bland.

*Flour - Adds substance. We need the substance a sister in the Lord can add. They give us many thing by way of mentoring us when we don't even know it. Their shared testimonies and way they live their lives has an impact on us.

*Baking Soda - Leavens. Leavening agents in baking helps to lighten the dough. Friendship with our sisters in Christ lightens our burdens through their prayer and encouragement.

*Salt - Enhances flavor. We know that friendships add flavor and just when we need it, they help improve the tastefulness and quality of our lives. Friends are the type of people that know just what we are going through and are there when we need them.

*Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips - The kind for chocolate chips we normally add to our cookies is semi sweet. Our sister friends tell up what they feel and think and that's okay. They can be honest and truthful to us. "Iron sharpeneth iron" (Proverbs 27:17).

*Nuts...Optional - Just a little craziness in a sister friend is great! Sometimes a little zaniness in our friends can be just the ingredient we need.

Conclusion: Friendships take a lot of time and effort to bake up but they are worth it when we sense that sweet aroma and special bond that they bring. Friends that have Jesus in common will have lasting relationships, not just here on earth, but will dwell with Christ together throughout eternity.

So, is your life a good recipe for friendship?

I hope that you enjoyed this recipe for friendship as much as I did. Pass it on if you think someone you know might get something from it.

Love and God Bless to all that read this post.

A Trip To The Orthodontics

Today Victoria made a trip to the dentist to start her steps for braces. They had to take imprisons. She didn't like that so much. But she did really well. She gets her braces April 7th. She's excited about it. The design she picked are hearts. She'll have to have them on for a year. I just hope there won't be a lot of pain. I'll keep you up dated on her progress.

Love to all.

Son's Birthday

Yesterday was my son's 17th birthday. I can't believe it. The years are just flying by so fast. Before I know it he will be out of the house and on his own. He's almost finished with 11th grade. He's hoping to go off to a Christian college. I just pray that God will lead him to do many things with his life.

Mother's get together.

Friday was our women's get together. This time we had 7 ladies. God sure put a few of us in our place. God is good. I just love this time with these women. We just pray that more and more women will join us on our adventurous walk with the Lord. This is a place to come and fellowship with other Christian women. A place you will not be judged.

The lesson we had was - Trusting in the Lord...

Proverbs 3: 5-7 "Trust in the lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil."

Psalms 37: 3-4 "Trust in the lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart."

Romans 12: 12 "Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer."

These are just a few scriptures we went over.

Hope that anyone who is reading this is doing well. Gods Blessings to all.

Keep Me Sweet Lord

LORD, YOU KNOW BETTER THAN I KNOW MYSELF THAT I AM
GROWING OLDER AND WILL SOMEDAY BE OLD. KEEP ME FROM
GETTING TALKATIVE, PARTICULARLY FOR THE FATAL HABIT
OF THINKING THAT I MUST SAY SOMETHING ON EVERY SUBJECT
AND ON EVERY OCCASION.

RELEASE ME FROM CRAVING TO STRAIGHTEN OUT EVERYBODY'S
AFFAIRS. MAKE ME THOUGHTFUL, BUT NOT MOODY; HELPFUL BUT

NOT BOSSY. WITH MY VAST STORE OF WISDOM IT SEEMS A PITY NOT
TO USE IT ALL, BUT YOU KNOW, LORD, THAT I WANT A FEW
FRIENDS AT THE END. KEEP MY MIND FROM THE RECITAL OF
ENDLESS DETAILS-GIVE ME WINGS TO COME TO THE POINT.

I ASK FOR GRACE ENOUGH TO LISTEN TO THE TALES OF OTHERS'
PAINS. SEAL MY LIPS ON MY OWN ACHES AND PAINS-THEY ARE
INCREASING, AND MY LOVE OF REHEARSING THEM IS BECOMING
SWEETER AS THE YEARS GO BY. HELP ME TO ENDURE THEM WITH

PATIENCE.

I DARE NOT ASK FOR IMPROVED MEMORY, BUT FOR A GROWING
HUMILITY AND A LESSENING COCKSURENESS WHEN MY MEMORY

SEEMS TO CLASH WITH THE MEMORIES OF OTHERS. TEACH ME THE
GLORIOUS LESSON THAT OCCASIONALLY IT IS POSSIBLE THAT I
MAY BE MISTAKEN.

KEEP ME REASONABLY SWEET. I DO NOT WANT TO BE A SAINT-SOME
OF THEM ARE SO HARD TO LIVE WITH-BUT A SOUR OLD WOMAN IS

ONE OF THE CROWING WORKS OF THE DEVIL.

GIVE ME THE ABILITY TO SEE GOOD THINGS IN UNEXPECTED PLACES,
AND TALENTS IN UNEXPECTED PEOPLE. AND GIVE ME, O LORD, THE GRACE

TO TELL THEM SO.

A Mother's Get Together.

Yesterday was great. Four other moms and myself got together for fellowship. My dear friend Andrea invited mom's over to her house just to hang out with each other. She really didn't know what she was bring us together for. But as the time was growing closer she know what God had in mind. She gave a small lesson on judging Read from Matthew 7 : 1-5. She talked about how often we judge others. Even if we don't say it out loud, more often then not we as people think it. Even Christian take apart in it. How sad is that. I can say for myself I have done that more time then I can count. It is an area where I'm going to try and work hard on. And I know with God's help it can be done. I pray that we as Christians can put a stop to judging God's people and look passed what we all see on the outside. I'm sure we have all had someone think we are something we are not.
Andrea also had us watch the music video by Casting Crowns - Does Anybody Hear Her.
It's one of my favorite videos. If you have not seen it you can find it on Godtube.com on the link below. Enjoy. God Bless All

House back on the market.

Well we placed our house back on the market. It's been off the market for a little while. Some friends of ours told us about a really nice Christian woman that works with re-max. We met with her. She was really great to talk with. She gave us good advice. We just had people come yesterday to look at the house and it has only been on the market for 4 days now.

So it's up to Jesus to do the sale of our house. As we all know the market is not in the greatest shape but I know the Lord has a plan for us in it all. He is good! Please keep us in your prayers. Love you all, Terri

Starting My Family Blog

Hi everyone,
A friend of mine just sent me her blog. It's just a neat way to stay in touch with each others lives. So I thought I would try it out and see how it goes. As time goes on I hope you feel like you haven't been left out of our lives. It gives us an oppertunaty to watch our family grow. So many of the people I love live far from me and I thought this would be a great way for them to keep in touch with me and my family.

I hope this will also give you an insight to my walk with the Lord. Our God is so great and my life is nothing with out him. He's the first one I talk with in the morning and the last one when I go to bed. I place all my hope in God.

Jeremiah 17:7-8 ~Our HOPE is the Lord!
